Message Afterall, we are comparing a complete intake/intercooler upgrade to a stock piping/stillen intercooler setup.

Dont take this as being defensive towards you - I respect your opinion and concerns. I just want to try and clarify this particular argument about apples to apples comparisons.

The gains in power were a result of the bigger pipe and bigger intercoolers. Given that a lot of people have stock intake piping and stillen intercoolers, the comparison tells a majority of people what to expect if they were to go to the larger piping/intercoolers.

I would not have entertained the test using stock intercoolers given that they would have been far insufficient to even consider using on Dee's setup.

Perhaps we could have put the Stillen intercoolers onto the 2.5" piping using reducing couplers to show the exact gain in performance from the piping upgrade only, but, I'm not just selling 2.5" piping - it is a complete intercooler and piping "kit". The same individuals who are riding my jock now were the same individuals telling everyone that larger piping is going to create a lot more lag and no performance benefit. They were inadvertently proven wrong by the results of the test - BAD wrong if you understand how to read dynocharts. So I guess they have their reasons to be upset - just know why they say the things they do and you'll cut through all of the only crap that exists in these posts.

All other things were equal in the testing: same car, same dyno, same state of tune, same boost pressures, same fuel, same environmental conditions, same coolant temps, same IC fans, etc etc.

It is unfortunate that I have to fight these kinds of battles EACH and EVERY time something comes up with the word Ash and one of his products. The nay-sayers continue to keep me on my feet with accusations ranging from result tampering to calling me a drug addict, and in the end, none of them can either prove or disprove any of their claims. It is all pure speculation and conjecture in their attempts to try and defame me and the products I develop.

It will probably be taken as propaganda, but I will say just because I have the urge to rub it in their faces, but, the more they get involved in the posts with their garbage and I take the time to respond with irrefutable evidence of product performance, the bigger my ORDERS inbox gets. I've been running AshSPEC now for two years, full time, and still producing new, effective performance products at rock-bottom (very little overhead) prices for the community. I've had to get my wife involved in daily office activities to help absorb a lot of the responsibilities as each day gets shorter and shorter as the business grows. This time next year I'll probably need two more people working with me.

Either way, if they keep on and I rebut, I win. If they stop, I'll still win. Unfortunately I dont have the luxury of being able to just sit on my hands with a lot of their preposterous accusations as this is not just my full-time hobby and profession, but it is also my livelihood.
